“A lawyer will do anything to win a case, sometimes he will even tell the truth.” These words, from the God machine, weighed heavily upon Rasuil each time he was given a new assignment. Rasuil had been around for many years and had learned much in the ways mortals viewed right and wrong, but did not understand their logic behind it. He fulfilled his duties as guardian in every case, sometimes defending the victim of the crime, and other times, the crime itself.
Rasuil never questioned or even thought about questioning the God Machine until he was forced to go against a fellow guardian in a case that would mean death to one of them. As the case progressed, he started to question why the God Machine would force the two guardians to go against each other. Was the God Machine trying to call him home? Or was it the other guardian’s time to leave? Rasuil ending up winning the trial, but his mind never recovered from all the lies this case brought to light.
Taking a new cover, he headed to Seattle in search of answers.
